Speech to persuade (purpose and objectives)

In our course we need to perform two speeches. The first is informative and the second one is pursuasive.

Today I'll tell you about the general idea, the purpouse and the objectives.

The general idea: NEVER say these things!

The purpouse: To teach or to show multiple ways to correct the statements of critics.

The objectives:
- to tell about what problems arise at the wrong statement of criticism
- to share some methods of expressing criticism.

  1. Hey! I like the idea and the objectives you set out, but I'm not really sure about the title. You know, "Can you critisize?" doesn't really sound provocative, because the audience can be like "No." And that's it, the case is closed.

So why don't you paraphrase it? Just a few ideas to think about:
    - Can criticism be helpful?
    - Is criticism actually helpful?
    - NEVER say these three things (then in the body you can actually name these three phrases, i.e. "I've told you", "Stop crying right now", "Calm down", etc.; and than provide possitive equivalents to express criticism)
